I completed a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Linguistics at the University of Konstanz. Subsequently, I completed a Master's degree in philosophy there.
During my studies, I developed a particular interest in the philosophy of language as well as classical and social epistemology. These areas of philosophy are also the focus of my PhD project, in which I am investigating top-down knowledge transfer: that is, the transfer of knowledge from epistemic authorities to individuals who have no special expertise in an area in question. The focus of my research is on the question of what role the formation of justified beliefs plays in top-down knowledge transfer and to what extent genuine knowledge acquisition is accomplished in the process.
